In our experience we have found that parties for most 4 year olds run smoother when all guests are of a similar age and limited to a maximum of 20 children. Balloons are great at any party but are a big distraction to young children. It is advisable to use balloons as decorations or as a going home present. The Venue Parties for 4 year olds can be successful either in the home or a venue such as a hall. If you are thinking of having a party at home, it is advisable to keep all toys etc. hidden away to avoid possessiveness, quarrels & upset. Time of Day Most 4 year old children will be more receptive to a morning or early afternoon party as this avoids nap times!! Duration of the Party 4 year olds can only cope with a maximum of 30 minutes of entertainment or activities before needing a break.
